Do you read your reviews? Do you respond to them, good or bad? Do you have any advice on how to deal with the bad?

Do I read them, well; honestly, it depends on whom the review is by. I do read them often, hoping to find where others enjoyed a particular bit or to see where they hope the stories will go next. I never respond other than to say thank you to review sites though.

Bad reviews are a fact of life for an author. Even the greatest books out now (and throughout history) have gathers their fair share of negatives. The catch is to not let those reviews get you down where you don't want to write more. I've seen it happen to authors that I truly enjoyed L As for how to deal with them; don't read the negative if you know it is a bad review. (That's the nice thing about review ratings ;) ). However, the biggest is... never give up! No one can please everyone; write what's right for you.

Is there one subject you would never write about as an author? What is it?

I'm pretty open-minded and liberal-thinking most of the time. I would never write to glorify something I believe is wrong, hateful, hurtful, etc. There are flashbacks in Blood's Voice and Blood Marked where some of the past torture and abuse Anya suffered comes to light, but I cut off the scene or only allude and it's always plain that these things are not seen as okay, good, or even tolerable/justifiable. I would never write about kids/crap/the dead/murder/suicide/etc. in a positive way.

Do you have a favorite conference to attend? What is it?

I love, love, loved RainbowCon 2015 in Tampa, FL. Sadly, the next one isn't until 2017 :'( It was so much fun! I met readers, authors, bloggers, and more! (Even a few of my favs!)

What is the weirdest thing that has ever been said or done to you by a fan? (Internet stalkers count)

I was once asked if I really drink blood. :/ Um, no. That would be my vampires... NOT me, lol.

What is the hardest scene you have ever written?

The flashback that happens at the end of the masquerade in Blood Marked. It includes blood, a knife, and a possible rape. Nothing is actually shown on page, don't worry, but writing the torture glimpses are the worst. However, one needs to see inside Anya's head to understand her, so I write them.

What are you working on now?

Glamour Blade just came out, but I'm already working on Soul Blade, which will be a continuation of both the House Millar series and of Lor and Rory's story. I'm not done with them yet ;) Writing the vampire world is fun, but this time I have to write more of the sidhe realm.... Can't wait to share!
