Type of home/ neighborhood: As a human, Salome was raised in an upper middle-class family. When she turned 18, she married a rich business man by the name of Percy.

Relationship status: In a relationship with Dusk

Current family: Salome is considered the matriarch of the family. She only wishes to protect them. She is also Dusk’s mate, so she is loyal to him and usually agree with everything he does and says.

Dusk: Salome’s partner, her sire, and her lover.

Faye: Faye is new to the wraith life and doesn’t quite understand what it is to be one. She still yearns for human companionship and her life before she became what she is. She loves to play video games and is pretty current with anything technological.

Tristan: He is the second oldest and considered the muscle of the family. He was made a wraith in the early 1880s. His human past consisted of being an outlaw and robbing banks. It was Dusk who broke him from this behavior and taught him what being a wraith truly is thus Tristan is loyal to Dusk, to an extent.

Maddy: The third oldest of the family, Maddy has never been able to adapt well into her wraith life. She doesn’t like being part of the family and one day, she dreams of leaving the family and going out on her own.

Essie: The only human in the family, Essie keeps the family safe by constantly searching for new places for her family to relocate to.

Family background (parents, previous marriages, etc.): Salome was married to Percy before becoming a wraith. Percy, a rich business man.

Dress style: Salome leaned toward the typical housewife clothing from the 1960s.

Favorite pastimes: Gardening

Hobbies: Gardening has always been Salome’s favorite past time although she wasn’t very good and keeping her plants alive.

Strongest positive personality trait: Melancholic people and characters are the opposite end of the spectrum: They dwell more on the past and are more the ‘glass half empty’ types. They’re more sensitive to life’s knocks.

Will readers like or dislike this character, and why?: I do believe that readers will be attracted to Salome’s motherly behavior. She is a sensitive woman who has been through a lot. At one point in her life, she didn’t have the power to do what she wanted. Now, she has all the power in the world and instead of abusing what was given to her, she still treats those around and her and the people she loves with contentment.

A veteran of the Armed Forces, Isaiyan Morrison was born and raised in Minneapolis.

Her passions include writing, reading, and researching historical events. She also spends her time gardening, playing video games, and hanging out with her three cats and beloved Pitt bull.
