Eyes Only For Me by: Andrew Grey w/ Guest Post & Giveaway

Title: Eyes Only for Me
Author: Andrew Grey
Series: Standalone
Genre: M/M Contemporary
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Release Date: Nov 2015
Edition/Formats Available In: eBook & Print
Blurb/Synopsis:
For years, Clay Potter’s been friends and workout partners with Ronnie. Though Clay is attracted, he’s never come on to Ronnie because, let’s face it, Ronnie only dates women.
When Clay’s father suffers a heart attack, Ronnie, having recently lost his dad, springs into action, driving Clay to the hospital over a hundred miles away. To stay close to Clay’s father, the men share a hotel room near the hospital, but after an emotional day, one thing leads to another, and straight-as-an-arrow Ronnie make a proposal that knocks Clay’s socks off! Just a little something to take the edge off.
Clayton responds in a way he’s never considered. After an amazing night together, Clay expects Ronnie to ignore what happened between them and go back to his old life. Ronnie surprises him and seems interested in additional exploration. Though they’re friends, Clay suddenly finds it hard to accept the new Ronnie. Maybe they both have a thing or two to learn.

I changed in the locker room while Ronnie talked to everyone. His big personality was back, and it was good to see. After filling my water bottle, I went up to the mezzanine to the treadmills. I got on one, dropped my phone into one of the cup holders, then started the machine and began my workout. I had a good view of the workout floor, so I watched as the others went through their routines, talking constantly as they did. A few times I saw Ronnie glance up, making the occasional rude gesture and then grinning like a naughty child. I was about to give him one back when my phone rang. I picked it up and answered it.
“Is this Clayton Potter?” I heard a strange voice ask.
“Yes, it is,” I answered, figuring this was some sort of telemarketing call. I made a mental note to check the do-not-call lists.
“I’m Dr. Greenway down at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. Your father listed you as next of kin. He was brought in earlier today. I’m afraid he’s had as many as three strokes in the past few hours.”
Hearing the word stroke, I forgot what I was doing or where I was. The machine kept working even as I stopped, and it pushed me off the back. I stumbled and managed to keep from crashing to the floor but ended up in a heap nonetheless as my legs gave out.
“Mr. Potter, are you all right?”
“I don’t know” was the only answer I could form. My head buzzed and my ears rang, hands and legs tingling. “How is he now?”
“Howard is stable at the moment, but he’s slipped into a coma. Part of it is the body’s way of protecting itself. We need to run some more tests to determine the cause of the strokes, and then we may need to perform surgery to try to correct the blockage in his neck. Is it possible for you to get here? We will need permission to perform the surgery. I can do emergency surgery without it, but I would prefer we time this as best we can.”
“Yes. I’ll see about leaving as soon as I can.” I stared at the phone, sitting on the floor while other people began gathering around me. I scanned the faces, people I didn’t know all asking questions that didn’t seem to register. Then Ronnie pushed his way in, and I took a deep breath as the fog over my mind lifted somewhat.
“What happened?”
“It’s my dad,” I told him. Those words galvanized Ronnie into action. He helped me to my feet and grabbed my things from the machine before turning it off.
“What happened to him?” Ronnie asked.
“Stroke,” I answered. “Got to get to Johns Hopkins.”
Ronnie stared into my eyes. “You can’t drive. Not like this.” Even as he said the words, he was already leading me down the steps and toward the locker room. “Change your clothes.” He left me in front of my locker, and I stared at it, forcing my hands to work. I pulled off my gym clothes and got back into the regular ones. By the time I was done, Ronnie was dressed.
“Where are you going?” I asked.
“My dad was at Hopkins,” Ronnie told me, and then he snatched up my bag and took me by the arm. My head was clearing, and the feeling was returning in my arms and legs, but I still felt shaky on my feet. He half propelled me toward the door, stopped at the desk briefly, and then we continued outside.
“My car is over there,” I said, but Ronnie guided me to his and somehow managed to get both gym bags in the tiny trunk of the Lamborghini.
“I’m taking you down.” He unlocked the car and lifted the door upward. It felt like I was still almost on the ground once I got in. Ronnie pushed the door down to close it and came around to the driver’s side. As soon as he got in, he started the engine, which roared to life, and within minutes we were out of the lot and entering the freeway.
“You don’t have to do this,” I said, a little belatedly, though I was pleased he thought enough of me to take this much care. Ronnie and I were friends, but he was a very busy man whose time was extremely valuable.
“Of course I do.” Ronnie reached over and patted my leg a few times, then returned his hand to the wheel. “When my dad was in the hospital, you came in all the time, talked to him and Mom.” Ronnie’s voice faltered for a few seconds. “She told me how you used to sit with her and just listen while she spouted all kinds of crap. Her words. She said she needed someone to talk with, and you were there.” Ronnie continued driving as I stared out the window. I’d made the drive from Harrisburg to Baltimore more times than I could count. It had been just my dad and me for a long time.

Eleanor's Gift by: Isis Sousa w/ Guest Post & Giveaway

Title: Eleanor’s Gift
Author: Isis Sousa
Genre: Gothic/Dark Fantasy/Horror/Paranormal
Publisher: Tragic Books
Release Date: Oct 30 2015
Edition/Formats Available In: eBook & Print
Illustrations: Characters and Ornaments Pencil Sketches
Blurb/Synopsis:
Eleanor’s Gift is a Gothic short story, adorned with black and white illustrations and an atmosphere of darkness.
During the last days of autumn, a wave of strange happenings creeps into Lord Welton’s life. It all starts when he brings the sole survivor of a mysterious accident into his household. Soon people close to Lord Welton begin to disappear and a tenebrous danger falls upon the one he loves the most.

Lord Welton’s country house was situated on top of a hill. It was old and simple in style, with walls made of stone; not too big yet well-maintained. The garden at the front was small, arranged with sparse bushes of flowers and berries, and a couple of benches. At the back was a pen filled with chickens and roosters, a kennel that housed several foxhounds, a stable for the horses and the carriage, and a roofed area for domestic activities. That early morning it was cold, almost freezing, and strangely silent on the hill. The air was heavy and still.
Inside the house, however, it was warm and pleasing. The housekeeper, Ms. Swan, was boiling water on the big metal oven of the well-stocked kitchen, for the breakfasts and morning toilets of the household. The fireplace was lit in the living room and the flames danced. Upstairs, little Ellwyn, Lord Welton’s daughter and only family, slept like an angel in her room. In the room to the right was the stranger.
The young woman slept deeply, although her features contorted as if she were wandering through some kind of nightmare. She was sweaty and her breathing shallow. All of a sudden she raised her back and sat up on the bed, holding the sheets tightly.
She stared around the room, agitated, trying to recollect the place. But her efforts were in vain, it all looked terribly unfamiliar.  She touched her neck, acknowledging the pain of the blue marks there. When she heard footsteps approaching her door, the stranger lay down on her side, covered herself up to her shoulders and hid her nose in the pillows.
The door handle twisted and squealed, and the heavy wooden door opened with a long creaking sound from the hinges. Heavy footsteps came slowly closer to the bed and the stranger heard a grave female voice.
“Madame… Lady?”
Ms. Swan moved closer and closer; she didn’t want to scare the guest. She bent to reach out for the stranger’s shoulder and, when her fingers were almost touching her, she noticed the sudden, deep stare. Ms. Swan gasped and almost let go of the lamp in her left hand. She closed her eyes for a moment and rested her right hand on her chest.
“Oh, for the morning birds! I came here to check on you…”
Ms. Swan backed off to make both herself and the guest feel more comfortable.
“I am Swan, and you must be…?”
The inquisitive woman in the bed sat up, resting her back on the carved headboard. Her emerald eyes had a faint, peculiar brightness. The silence had become quite awkward by the time she finally decided to speak.

Book 1 in the Blue Spectrum Chronicles will keep you tethered to your seat, waiting to turn each page to see what happens when a young couple bravely dares to fall in love at a time when it is strictly forbidden.

Smudge turned me around somehow, still holding me tightly in his arms.  I didn’t know how he did it with me kicking at him so furiously, but he twisted me around until our faces were just inches apart, his eyes hot blue smoke that seeped through every part of me.
I stopped kicking.
The lights from the teen center cast a shiver of orange light on his face, and I couldn’t help but stare at the pure perfection of it.
Smudge cocked his head to the side, and still holding me, his lips lightly brushed against mine.  I struggled to breathe, then, as his lips hungrily pressed harder, moving slowly and deliberately with such emotion and intention I couldn’t help matching his movements with my own, the blue mist of his eyes circling us together and swirling us around in a cloud that seemed about to burst.

Fifty Shades of Truth by: Josef w/ Interview & Giveaway

Title: Fifty Shades of Truth
Author: Josef
Series: Stand Alone
Genre: Autobiography
Publisher: Fontaine Publishing Group
Release Date: June 7 2015
Edition/Formats: eBook
Blurb/Synopsis:
Fifty Shades of Truth is the true story of a man who, for over sixty years, led a double life.
Josef was a husband, a businessman, a friend, but he was also a man hopelessly addicted to sex and all things sexual in nature. Stemming from an assignment his therapist gave him, this book explores the many aspects of sex that are hidden and looked-down upon. Josef's life was a rollercoaster, littered with massage parlors, mistresses, transsexuals and gay encounters.  The things that happened to Josef, most people would find horrifying, twisted, or at least strange. But Josef loved every bit of it. Loved it so much that he continued lying to his wife and everyone he knew for 60 years.
Parts of Josef's story are very confronting, but Fifty Shades of Truth is a wonderfully entertaining, sometimes humorous, sometimes shocking, sometimes challenging, but always entertaining account of this man's life.  Many other men can only fantasize about some of the things he has experienced.

… a dark journey into the Light

It was a slow movement, and she paused at times to moisten her tongue, making sure she wet my face with her saliva.  “You belong to me, slave.  All of you belongs to me.”  She moved behind me and whispered in my ear, “I want your soul.”
When she whispered those words, I suddenly felt fear flood my body at the realization of my position.  Where was my soul in all of this?  I was raised a strict Catholic, but from the age of five I rejected the absurd teachings of the church.  I stopped going to church as soon as I was old enough to say “no” at about sixteen years of age, but that did not mean I didn’t believe in a greater intelligence behind life.  At five years old I was already looking for the true meaning and purpose of my life, and as I grew older I spent a great deal of time searching, reading books, and practicing all kinds of meditation in pursuit of this.  That search has never stopped, and has always been a focal point of any decisions I make about my life.  So how the fuck did I find myself here?  My heart was pounding and a wave of panic rose in me.  Was I turning my back on my soul?
The concerns about the wellbeing of my soul were interrupted by the sound of Mistress Serena’s voice.  This distraction was enough for the urges that brought me here to rise above my fears and quell them.  Gently but forcibly, my fears for my soul were slowly smothered beneath an avalanche of desire, as the sound of her voice flowed into me like a soothing balm.
“I have many ways to brand you as my property, slave,” she laughed.  I figured she was just talking about the face painting she had given me with her tongue.  This was starting to get rough and wild, but I wasn’t about to stop her.  I wanted to see where this would go now.  The crazy thoughts going through my mind were still making me smile slightly, and I still couldn’t take it seriously.
“Do you still think this is funny, slave?’ she demanded in a rising voice.
“No, Mistress,” I mumbled. The blood was pounding in my ears and I could feel the heat in my face from her blows.  I worked the smile off my face and tried to play the game.  I was keeping my eyes averted but directed my gaze close enough to catch peripheral glimpses of her face.  A look of contempt was etched into her features, her sneering upper lip indicating a total disdain for me.  It hit a nerve that I loved, and it is impossible to describe the deep sense of gratification I felt.  My body ached as though it wished to turn itself inside out, such was the feeling I had to give myself to this.  I wanted to bare myself completely.  I had stopped worrying about my soul.
“I think you need a lesson, slave.  You come to me drunk and think this is a joke.  Do you think this is a joke?”
“No Mistress.”
“No, it’s not!” she screamed, and slapped me across the face again, though not as hard as before.  She laughed.  “You remember the safe word, don’t you, slave?”
“Yes, mistress.”
“Good,” she said, laughing softly.   She slapped me back and forth a few more times, as I sat there helplessly, with no way to defend myself from her blows.  She spat in my face again when she was done.  I sat there, slumped in the chair, beaten into submission, and said nothing.  Looking down at my cock, laying soft against my thigh, I was surprised that I still didn’t have an erection.  Over time I would come to understand the nature of my desires very well, and an erection wasn’t at all necessary for my enjoyment and satisfaction.
“Yes, I think you need to be reminded of who you are, slave.”  She turned to the shelf behind her, and picked up one of the burning candles.  “I am going to brand you properly,” she added, with a laugh

Sun and Shadow by: Dirk Greyson w/ Interview & Giveaway

Title: Sun and Shadow
Author: Dirk Greyson
Series: Day and Knight (Book 2)
Genre: M/M, Contemporary, Adventure
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Release Date: May 4 2015
Edition/Formats: eBook & Print
Blurb/Synopsis:
Dayton “Day” Ingram is recovering from an injury suffered in Mexico—and from his failed relationship with fellow Scorpion agent, Knight. While researching an old government document, Day realizes he might be holding the key to finding an artistic masterpiece lost since WWII.
But the Russians are looking for it too, and have a team in place in Eastern Europe hunting it down. Day and Knight are brought back together when they are charged with getting to the painting first.
Knight wants to leave Mexico and everything that happened there behind, and return to the life he had—except it wasn't much of a life. When he's partnered up with Day, keeping his distance proves to be challenging. But Day is as stubborn as Knight and isn’t willing to let him walk away.
Their assignment leads them through Germany and Austria with agents hot on their tail—agents willing to do whatever it takes to get to the masterpiece first. If Day and Knight can live long enough to find the painting, they might also discover something even more precious—each other.

“Excellent.” Dimato looked down at the file and then back up at him. “Catch up on your e-mail and things, and then come to my office in an hour. I have a task that I think is right up your alley. It’s research to start, but it could quickly turn into more.” He smiled and then continued on his way down the aisle of cubicles. Day sat down and booted up his computer, then opened e-mail, groaning at the hundreds sitting in his in-box. He began sorting them and managed to get through all of the routine things. The rest he answered or forwarded to the appropriate people before meeting Dimato in his office.
“Close the door.”
Day did and sat down. “What can I help with?”
“You’ve been watching the news on television,” Dimato prompted, and Day nodded. “Then you know that the current Russian president is becoming more and more like Stalin with each passing day. He’s moved to reintegrate many of the former Soviet republics back under Russian control, and we believe Eastern Europe is in his sights next. But they’ve had a very good taste of freedom, and it isn’t likely he’ll succeed easily there.” Dimato paused a moment, and Day nodded his agreement. Dimato wasn’t telling him anything he hadn’t heard already.
“We’ve intercepted some communications from the Russians, and I need you to use your linguistic skills to see if what we believe they’re talking about is possible.” Dimato passed him a file.
“I can do that,” Day said as he took the file and opened it to the first page.
“They’re looking for something that may have been lost during World War II. I skimmed the file, and I couldn’t determine what they were hunting for. But you may be able to figure it out.”
“I’ll do my best. What’s the priority?”
“Make it your top one for now. My instincts are telling me there’s more here than we’ve figured out so far. It looks like they’re hunting for a work of art, but the Russians wouldn’t spend a great deal of energy and time on something unless it was important. What we intercepted was from the military, so it’s important enough that they’re involved, and we need to know why.”
“I’ll get on it right away,” Day stood, holding the file, his heart beating a little faster. This was what he’d come to Scorpion Logistical Services to do, and it made his blood race. He loved unraveling mysteries and puzzles. He hoped the one he held would be interesting.

Imperfect Love by: Isabella White

Title: Imperfect Love
Author: Isabella White
Series: the 4ever Series (Book 1)
Genre: Women’s Contemporary Romance/Erotica
Publisher: Fire Quill Publishing
Release Date: July 29 2015
Edition/Formats: eBook
Blurb/Synopsis:
At 24 years old, Holly Scallanger has the perfect life. Everything a girl could want; a beautiful man, a stunning home, as well as being in the midst of preparing for the wedding of her dreams. This all vanishes the night she catches her fiancé, Brandon Morgan, in bed with her worst nightmare, Donna Sinclair, just a week before Holly is set to walk down the aisle.
Attempting to recover from his betrayal, Holly swears off the affections of men in order to pick up the pieces of her crumbling life. Unfortunately, meeting Jake 'Hooligan' Peters is not part of her plan. The tall, dark-haired and handsome as hell med student, sweeps Holly away from the pain of her past and reveals to her the bright future that lies ahead. That is, until she falls pregnant just as Jake begins his internship at P&E; his family's hospital.
Will this love at first sight lead her to the fairytale she has always craved? Or, will she fall victim to a betrayal of the heart yet again?

She knew the minute she spelled it out for him that he’d cottoned on to the fact that she knew he’d slept with Donna, and then the lies would start all over again. He would begin by telling her his soppy version, and ultimately manipulate her into staying by telling her that it would never happen again. Except, that this time, she had proof.
The dead line signal beeped in her ear before she could tell him not to bother.
If she wanted to be rid of his sorry ass, she had to move fast. Where he worked was only a twenty minute drive to her place, and in an emergency, ten.
Holly got up off the floor, grabbed the rest of her stuff, shoved it into her suitcase and hauled it to her pathetic little Beetle, unceremoniously chucking the suitcase into it. She didn’t own anything else, because he had everything. Another thing he’d manipulated her with throughout the years.
She backed out of the garage of the million dollar mansion her now-no-longer-to-be-daddy-in-law had bought them as a wedding present three months earlier. She knew she would never find that kind fortune again, but money couldn’t buy happiness, she knew that now.
Her phone was on the passenger seat.
She had no idea where to go, except to Bernice’s, her best friend. They’d had a falling out a month ago, and although Bernie had warned her to not go crying when he hurt her, she knew her friend hadn’t meant it in that way.
They had been friends since they’d been in diapers. Bernie would understand. She’d tried and failed to tell Holly, repeatedly, that Brandon was a dick, but Holly hadn’t listened. At that time, the reality of not being with him had been unbearable.
Now the only thing she saw whenever she closed her eyes, was Donna on top of Brandon in some classy hotel he’d never taken her to.
Holly resolutely dialed her friend’s number, thanking God she hadn’t deleted it when he’d asked her to. It wouldn’t have mattered anyway, as Holly knew Bernie’s number by heart. The phone rang three times before Bernice answered.
“Never thought I'd hear from you again,” Bernie huffed in an unimpressed tone.
“I did it,” Holly blurted without a greeting, and then promptly began to cry. She’d kept most of her tears back for way too long.
“What?” Bernie sounded surprised. “Where are you now? Shit, I hope you’re not driving.”
“I had to get away. I only have my suitcase and no idea what I’m going to do!” she bawled.
“Calm down, okay? Pull over, or better yet, go to the mall. I’ll meet you at Madley’s. Just don't drive, please,” Bernie begged.
“Okay,” Holly uttered, so softly it was barely audible. She disconnected the call, dropped her phone onto her lap and quickly wiped the tears from her eyes and face before she ended up causing an accident. Thankfully, the mall was a five minute drive from their home. She didn’t think Brandon would go looking for her there. At least, she hoped he wouldn’t.

Isabella White was born and raised in South Africa, where she still lives with her husband and two beautiful little girls. She always knew she was going to be a writer, but it only started to really happen about four years ago. In her free time―if she gets any because moms don’t really have free time―she loves to spend it with friends, whether it’s a girl’s night out, or just watching a movie. She’s a very chilled person. Her writing career started with Firebolt, book one in the Dragonian series under the pen name of Adrienne Woods. Her other series, Dream Casters, will be released mid-2015. She also writes in different genres, You and Me 4Ever has a total of 3 novels. More to come in the Pregnancy Diaries soon. And then, she has a paranormal series by the name of the Aswang series, which will consist of about ten novels.
