Genre:  M/M Contemporary Romance/ Gay Romance/ LGTBQA
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press

Blurb/Synopsis:
Car restorer Dean Milford knows how to make damaged things beautiful again. Only, after a bad breakup, he loses sight of who he is, playing the field and distracting himself with any man he comes across. But now there’s only one guy who really matters to him. And maybe with his latest restoration job—a vintage Cobra—he’ll get the chance to let him know.

Losing his sight wasn’t the worst thing to happen to Lee Studer—losing his independence was. It’s taken a while, but he’s finally found his place in the world—in a garage. Funny enough, his acute hearing allows him to pinpoint engine problems just by listening. And even better, he’s going to have a chance to help his long-time crush, Dean, rebuild his fantasy car.

As the restoration comes together, so do Lee and Dean, building a friendship that quickly turns into so much more. But before they can think about a future together, they have to deal with the past. Only that turns out to be more dangerous than either one ever dreamed….

“What the fuck?” Scott swore next to him. “Everything is messed up.” He pulled back his hand, and Lee listened as each drawer in the chest was opened and closed. “They all are. Shit, I’m going to kill whoever did this.” Scott turned and shouted for Brent to come over.
“What’s going on?’ Brent asked in his deep but kind of soothing voice. He must have been signing as he spoke, because Scott answered right away.
“Everything in Lee’s drawer is messed up. He needs his tools in the right place so he can find them easily.”
Lee stood to the side, his arms around his own chest. It seemed stupid, but the thought that someone had been in his things and messed everything up on purpose just about killed him. He’d probably have felt better if they’d just stolen them. That was impersonal. But messing everything up—that was close, intimate. They knew exactly what would upset him most.
Before losing his sight five years earlier, Lee had been a real slob. His mom had been forever asking him to clean his room. But once he couldn’t see, he’d learned from James that he needed to be organized and precise if he was going to be able to navigate his blindness in a sighted world.
Scott moved to stand right next to him, then hugged him tightly. “Scott, can you and Lee spend some time fixing his tools? I’m going to get the car for you and drive it into the bay. We’ll try to figure out who did this. Was the box locked?”
“Yes. I saw Lee unlock it. Someone just tipped the entire box on its side to mess it up.” He was angry and as pissed off as Lee was. “The bastards.”
“I’ll get to the bottom of it, but I don’t understand,” Brent said.
Lee didn’t either. As far as he knew, he was friends with everyone at work. All of the other guys had always been nice to him. They even helped him and offered to guide him if Scott wasn’t there. He trusted all of them. That’s what really hurt.
“Okay,” Scott said, then started opening the drawers. He set to work, the tools banging against the metal dividers as Scott set them back in place.
Lee stood out of the way and let Scott help him. He could identify his tools by their feel, but he needed them in their own places if he was going to find them easily.

Survive and Conquer by: Andrew Grey w/ Creative Post & Giveaway

Title: Survive and Conquer
Author: Andrew Grey
Series: Standalone
Genre:  M/M Contemporary Romance/ Gay Romance/ LGTBQA
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Release Date: July 9 2019
Edition/Formats Available In: eBook & Print (1st Edition)
Blurb/Synopsis:
Newton DeSantis was on the ground when the towers collapsed on 9/11. Though he still carries the scars on his body and his heart, he’s determined to ease some of the world’s suffering. Now a social worker and father to two children with special needs, he’s doing his best. But when his son’s health takes a drastic turn, Newton knows he can’t do it alone.
Family law attorney Chase Matthews is a rising star, and he’s in high demand. Still, Newton is very persuasive, and Chase takes his case pro bono. Everything about the other man appeals to Chase, but he’s determined to keep the relationship professional—even though, after meeting Newton’s kids, he wants to be a part of their lives.
Chase’s job doesn’t always allow him to pick his clients, though, and a case that could make him partner will put him on the opposite side of the courtroom from Newton—along with everything he believes in and the future they could build together.

Newton slowly ate his cake, watching that Eric didn’t gulp his and that Rosie didn’t make a huge mess. “Are you all done?” Newton asked the girls. “Then go wash up and you can play.” He cut Eric another small piece of cake because he didn’t seem to be able to get enough to eat. Eric took his plate and left the table to play video games, leaving the adults alone once again.
“Do you think you can help?” Newton asked Chase. He could see the indecision in his eyes.
“Yes,” he finally answered, sharing a smile with Angela before turning his intense gaze on Newton. “You sure don’t take no for an answer when you really want something.” He didn’t seem angry or upset. Chase passed Angela a business card. “Call my office and make an appointment for next week. Bring all the documentation. We’ll develop a strategy and counter these arguments before they can really take hold.” Chase pushed away from the table. “I need to get going.” He stood, with Newton and Angela both doing the same.
Newton saw Chase to the door. “Thank you for helping her,” he said softly. “I know I came on strong, but….”
Chase actually smiled. “You’re a man who follows his passions, I can see that. You have strong beliefs and are willing to fight for them. That’s something worth admiring, and—”
Angela hurried over. “There’s something wrong with Eric. He’s having trouble breathing.”
Newton hurried to the family room, where Eric sat in the chair, gasping for breath. Newton took his pulse and found it racing.
“What do you need me to do?” Angela asked.
“I need to get Eric to Children’s Hospital right away,” Newton said with remarkable calmness.
“Should I call an ambulance?” Chase asked.
“No. They aren’t going to know what to do for him,” Newton said as Chase lifted Eric into his arms and carried him through the house. “Rosie,” he called, “go get in the car, right now! We have to take care of Eric.”
“I’ll get him into the car,” Chase said.
“We have to go. Rosie, hurry, we need to go.” His heart raced as Chase carried Eric to the car, thinking only of his son. This had happened before, but it had been months since he’d had an attack. They used to scare the hell out of him, but he knew what to do now. So did Rosie, who brought the backpack he kept in Eric’s closet and climbed into her car seat. Newton got Eric settled in the back and told him to stay calm. Angela was already leaving the house with the girls as Newton climbed in the car. Chase raced back and locked the house.
Newton jumped when the passenger door opened and Chase got in, buckling up. “Let’s get going.”
“You don’t need to….” Newton began even as his hand put the car into reverse and he backed out of the drive, then took off down the road like a bat out of hell.
“Can you talk to me, Eric?” Newton asked.
“Yes,” he said raspily.
“What do you need me to do?” Chase asked, turning toward the back seat.

On Shaky Ground by: Andrew Grey w/Giveaway

Title: On Shaky Ground
Author: Andrew Grey
Series: Standalone Novella
Genre:  M/M Contemporary Romance/ Gay Romance/ LGTBQA
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Release Date: June 14 2019
Edition/Formats Available In: eBook & Print (2nd Edition {1st Edition Can Be Found in the Boundless Love Anthology})
Blurb/Synopsis:
Martin Graham built his business from the ground up with hard work and intuition. Due to a degenerative eye disease, he’s learned to rely on his other senses to feel out the competition. To realize his dream, he just needs to broker one last deal… and finally secure an assistant.

Brock Littleton is desperate for money—desperate enough take the job no one else wants: assistant to demanding, fussy, intensely private Mr. Graham.

Everything about Brock gets under Martin’s skin in ways he never expected, making him realize a successful business isn’t the only component to a happy future. But as Martin’s deal comes together, one of the prices could be the relationship with Brock that Martin is just starting to believe could be real.

“Kelly quit last night,” Edna explained, exasperation coloring her voice. “That’s the third assistant in four months. These kids don’t have what it takes to stick it out for anything.” She paused in her typing. “I thought I’d come in early to make sure everything was up to date before I went back down to HR.”
The chair squeaked as Edna leaned back. Martin knew that squeak; he heard it every time his assistant moved in that chair. They complained about it, but that sound was one of the constants in his life, an audible clue that told him something about the mostly shadowed world around him.
“Can you find me another assistant?” he asked, suppressing a sigh. “Maybe one who doesn’t spend her days humming some ridiculous tune or tapping a damn pen whenever she gets nervous, which seemed to be all the dang time.” He clenched the hand not holding his briefcase.
The chair squeaked again, and he turned his head toward the sound. Her hands thunked on the desk, and Martin resisted the urge to lean in a little closer to try to see her better. He already knew it was of little use. To him, she was little more than an outline against the light from the windows and her desk lamp, a moving specter from one of the old black-and-white films he used to watch as a kid.
“Can I be frank, Martin?”
“You can be anyone you want to be,” he quipped in his best Groucho Marx imitation. It garnered stone-cold silence for a few beats.
“Martin, I don’t honestly know if I can find another, but I’ll try. The entire office has heard how hard it is to work for you. I could double the salary of the position and no one would apply, and you know it.”
“They hate me that much?” Martin asked, his anger rising.
She sighed extra loudly, clearly wanting him to hear it. “No, they don’t. This is a good company. The people who work here respect you. They’ve seen what you’ve built. You’ve created an incredibly open and nurturing environment for everyone. Opinions are respected and listened to, you value and reward diligence, and we have flexible schedules as much as possible. And our turnover is incredibly low, except for one particular position—the one who sits at this desk.”
Martin humphed, walking past the desk to go into his office.
“Stop,” Edna said after he opened the door. “I haven’t gone in there yet.” The chair squawked loudly as she got up, and her hand patted his arm as she went by.
“What is it?” Martin asked, as though he couldn’t guess.
“She rearranged your things,” Edna said. “Give me a few minutes.”

By A Thread by: Nyna Queen w/ Interview

Title: By a Thread
Author: Nyna Queen
Series: Trueborn Heirs Series
Genre: Urban Fantasy/ Paranormal
Publisher: Levire
Release Date: May 1 2019
Editions: eBook
Blurb/Synopsis:

“I’m a spider, sugar. My shaper kind doesn’t bear that name for nothing.”

That's not something Alexis Harper dares to say very often. If she did, it might just get her killed. Not that she is an easy mark, but even fools get lucky once in a while.
In a world where the magically gifted trueborn rule and the magicless halfborn slog away in the slums, half-blood mongrels like Alex are outcasts—feared and shunned. For most of her life, she has lurked in the shadows, trying to keep her true nature a secret. But the secrecy ends abruptly when she saves two trueborn aristo children from a group of hired killers. Accused of a crime she didn't commit, Alex suddenly finds herself running from powerful enemies, with no one around to trust.
Or what about the mysterious stranger who has been following her? He is one of Death’s Servants, born and bred to kill at the country’s command. Not the most preferable ally, but then, her choices are limited. Soon she has to decide whether she can trust him or not—it’s a gamble she might not survive either way. And before Alex knows what is happening, her life is hanging by a silken thread…

“You’re not one of those guys, are you?”

“And what kind of guy would that be?” Darken asked.
Alex flipped back a strand of blond hair. “One of those macho-imbeciles who think that women belong behind the stove and not behind the steering wheel.”
Darken gave her a puzzled look that was almost convincing.
“I beg your pardon,” he said stiffly. “I didn’t mean to imply that there was anything wrong with your driving skills.”
Of course not. “What did you mean to imply, if I may ask?”
He sighed, impatiently. “If I recall it correctly, I just told you about the possible physical repercussions of my magic. At the moment you’re experiencing dizziness, perhaps even blurred vision. Your mouth feels dry and your skin raw. Your pupils are dilated.” He bent forward, peering into her face and she involuntarily took a step backward. Damn!
Max and Josy appeared around the car, notably dallying while getting into the car to be able to listen in.
“And your point is?”
Darken waved an irritated hand. “Haven’t you been listening at all? It’s going to get worse, a lot worse. What you are experiencing right now are just the first ripples. Especially the first time when someone is touched by a forfeit’s magic the effects are particularly dire. You’ll likely feel like you’re having a bad case of the chills, perhaps even suffer from shivering attacks and other … certain … physical symptoms.” His voice gained a slightly clipped edge at those last words, but she was too mad to pay it any attention.
Oh, so now he was getting all indignant because she wasn’t falling to pieces at his touch. Poor little woman wasn’t able to handle the touch of the big threatening predator. Males! He’d probably expected her to suffer some kind of nervous breakdown or something, getting all teary and whiny and swooning on his arm, begging him for smelling salts. Perhaps that was what most people did in her current circumstances. Well, she wouldn’t do him that favor, oh no! She’d suffered physical backlash of magic before and while it wasn’t a pleasant experience, a shapers’ body usually coped much better with it than other humans.
It was true, she did feel a bit shaky on her legs and there was a faint tingling sensation on her skin, but there was just no way she would grant him the triumph of backing down now. She’d have to grit her teeth and tough it out.
“Thanks a lot,” she said pointedly, “but I think I can manage.”
She yanked the door open—forcing him to quickly pull away his hand if he didn’t want his fingers to get squashed—and paused to look at him over the door casing. “Don’t worry, its a few hours’ drive to Gomorrah. You’ll come to your right.”
Before he could argue, she pushed past him, slipped into the driver’s seat and pulled the door shut behind her.
Well, chew on that, Mr. Smug.
