Blurb/Synopsis:
Born in the land where “The Kamasutra” originates, I have never taken eroticism lightly.
Even though sex is one of the most basic needs, humanity still shies away from talking about it.
With this book, through my poems I urge you to tastefully feel, visualise and just enjoy something that comes naturally to all of us. Enjoy the image depicted with each poem to enrich the surge of emotions you will feel!
Another journey, another path, discover some more of your emotions and let love flow through…

How would you introduce your books to someone that has yet to read them?

I write in different genres and I have written 15 books so far. I am quite sure my readers would resonate with at least one or many of them, given the choice they have! I have written poetry and stories in genres like horror, children’s illustration, adult colouring books, thriller, fantasy, romance, both in fiction and non-fiction. I love the challenge of exploring different themes and pushing my boundaries!
Speaking specifically on my book: “Enigma”, it is my first take on erotic, passionate poetry. I have tried to visually create different scenes incorporating the human need and want to love, through pure emotion, passion and spiritual connection. There are small doses of lust sprinkled in, which simply is a beautiful extension of a deep bonding emitting from strong love. To summarize, the poems depict intimate moments and fantasies shared between lovers.
I am currently working on the sequel “Enigma II”, which I plan on publishing in the next few weeks! Look out for that…it will get raunchier!

What inspired you to start writing?

Going back to the time when I had just discovered my passion for writing; it was very sudden and I felt this strong urge to put down on paper all that was running through my mind…it was surreal! I distinctly remember words and sentences forming in my head spontaneously, where I couldn’t help but nervously try to jot it all down.
There is this feeling of peace that creeps into me whenever I go into the deep thought of my writing process. I have to say that life, everyday situations, injustices, my personal experiences are some of the things that inspire me to write.
Ideas come freely depending on my mental and emotional state at that point. I am very creative and so a simple thought can grow into quite an explosive volcano…if the need calls for it!
Without a doubt, it is the gradual creation of a simple thought into a persona-the protagonist, eventually building into your story…that intrigues me every time.
Being able to challenge the human mind; digging deep only to reveal an unexpected, fantastical play of words meant to entice human emotion is inspirational!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?

I have recently published the first 3 books in my Series of colouring books for adults. Apart from writing I love art…sketching, painting and so I devote a lot of time to it. Creating these books, though time consuming has been so much fun and personally rejuvenating. My aim is to help people find their peace and calm through “art-therapy”, something that is so essential in today’s stressful times.
I also read a lot and try to actively campaign and speak on topics focused towards helping and healing others to promote better relationship building.
Apart from the above, I also run my blog “chriselda.blog” and am currently working on future episodes for my podcast – “The 3 Pillars” and for my series - “ART-IS-IN” where I feature and interview many talented artists.

What's the hardest thing about writing?

I guess having writer’s block is the most common problem all writers face at some point in their career. Luckily, I haven’t been deeply impacted by it, or I have tried to work around it by taking a time-out and reading a lot, until my mind gets fictionally active again.
Another thing is sticking with a story till the end. As I work on many stories simultaneously, there have been times where one storyline captures my interest more than the others. This gets me so engrossed that I tend to stick with it and that leads me to neglect the others. I have to then somehow find it in me to push myself to get on with the other stories/books until completion….not an easy task!
If I could choose, I would spend my entire day writing or sketching. Unfortunately, I have other responsibilities so finding more time to devote to writing in my already busy schedule gets pretty challenging at times!

Do you listen to music while you write?

Sometimes…it depends! I use music if I need to create a specific mood or to get more deeply embedded into a certain mindset that the story/poem might need.
Other times, I'd rather not listen to music, especially if it seems to distract me from what I am trying to create or build into my writing.

What's been your favorite moment as an author?

Being able to see/hold my completed book!
The realization that it all started with me noting down just a few random thoughts, to creating characters…giving them a life of their own, growing with them, emoting with them to building up my story and then reaching a satisfying end is absolutely amazing!
The journey of unbelievable cycles you take as an author each and every time you write is incredible!
Lastly, the honest, well-appreciated feedback/review you get from your readers has the top-rank of my most cherished moments!

Genre:  M/M Contemporary Romance/ Gay Romance/ LGTBQA
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Release Date: Nov 12 2019

Blurb/Synopsis:
Firefighter Tyler Banik has seen his share of adventure while working disaster relief with the Red Cross. But now that he’s adopted Abey, he’s ready to leave the danger behind and put down roots. That means returning to his hometown—where the last thing he anticipates is falling for his high school nemesis.
Alan Pettaprin isn’t the boy he used to be.  As a business owner and council member, he’s working hard to improve life in Scottville for everyone. Nobody is more surprised than Alan when Tyler returns, but he’s glad. For him, it’s a chance to set things right. Little does he guess he and Tyler will find the missing pieces of themselves in each other. Old rivalries are left in the ashes, passion burns bright, and the possibility for a future together stretches in front of them….
But not everyone in town is glad to see Tyler return….

A soft poke on the shoulder woke him, followed by another. Then a giggle and footsteps on the floor. Tyler kept his eyes closed, listening for another giggle and waiting for a pounce. When it came, Tyler held Abey as he tugged him up onto the bed, to much laughter. It had taken months to hear that expression of joy, and it rang in Tyler’s ears as the most wonderful sound on earth.
“I heard you,” his mother said as she cracked the door open.
Abey immediately stilled, grew silent, and then buried his face in the covers.
“That’s your grandma. She’s really nice. I promise.” Tyler held Abey closer and waited for him to lift his face out of the blankets. “It’s okay.” He sat up and lifted Abey along with him. He went right to him, burying his face in Tyler’s neck.
“I’m making you something to eat,” his mom said quietly.
“Thanks. I’m going to get him cleaned up, and then we’ll be out.” He held Abey tightly and grabbed some of their stuff. He had gotten used to doing a lot of tasks one-handed, and once his mom had gone and closed the door, Abey let Tyler put him down. Tyler grabbed some fresh clothes and things, then headed to the bathroom with Abey.
Tyler got Abey washed up and helped him dress. Abey wanted to do it himself, which took three times as long, but Tyler could be patient and was relieved that Abey was acting a little more like a normal three-year-old. “Are you hungry?”
Abey nodded.
“Grandma is making us something to eat.” Tyler knelt down right in front of him. “Your grandma is very nice, and she is going to love you a lot. I promise.” God, he wished he knew if Abey understood him at all. Most of the time, he talked but thought all of it went right over Abey’s head. Not that he could blame him. This entire situation was difficult for both of them, but all the change for Abey had to be overwhelming his young mind.
Abey hugged him around the neck, and Tyler lifted him up. Few things in the world were as rewarding as those hugs. He carried Abey out of the bathroom and back to the bedroom, where Tyler changed quickly and took Abey into the kitchen.
